Before We Left

“So what are your thoughts on moving to Malaysia for a year?”

“I had never thought of moving to Malaysia.”

“Well… start.”

That’s how the actual conversation started when Josh came home one day after work.  Obviously, we eventually decided to go.

Things we did before we left:


Stored the car


Got Phantom surgery to remove some lumps


Sold some stuff, and had the remaining stuff packed


Bought a Stetson


Ate some iconic American food (what’s more American than a cheeseburger with two grilled cheese sandwiches for a bun?)


Ate Texas-shaped waffles for breakfast at the hotel we lived in for a few weeks


Customized the luggage
